If you’re familiar with Lincoln, you’ll know how much the City has transformed over the last decade. Lively, dynamic, and always improving, we are hugely proud of our City and our employees who are always seeking out ways to make Lincoln an even more fulfilling, inclusive and prosperous city in which to work and live.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to join and lead the Facilities Management Team in an ambitious and high-performing organisation.
As Facilities Manager, you’ll be part of an important service for the people who use our buildings, and we want to make every site as safe and convenient as possible. That means taking on a wide remit of facilities management duties and providing a first-class service across the buildings in your care.
You will have direct operational responsibility for the Council’s main operational building, City Hall, and will manage the responsible officer framework for all other corporate buildings. The post also manages the repairs service and planned maintenance programme for all corporate buildings along with health and safety cyclical servicing. Contract management is therefore a core part of the work, as is resolving operational issues.
The ideal candidate will have experience in “hard” and “soft” FM and building services, managing a wide range of building operations, projects and managing contractors. You will be able to deal with contractors and will have excellent stakeholder management skills. You will need a level 5 of equivalent qualification in facilities management e.g. IWFM/BIFM and will ideally be working towards level 6 qualifications e.g. IOSH/NEEBOSH.
The Council has a flexible working policy which includes flexitime and hybrid working.
If you feel you have the skills, experience and drive required, we look forward to receiving your application. If you would like to have an informal discussion about the role please contact: Jaclyn Gibson, Chief Finance Officer on Jaclyn.gibson@lincoln.gov.uk
